On 26 September 2025, the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong Alumni Association (THEi-AA) successfully hosted the "Career Sharing Series—Sports Therapy in Practice: Longevity Through Movement" at Top Bowl Tenpin Bowling in Kai Tak. This gathering seamlessly blended a bowling social with hands-on sports therapy, providing alumni and students an unforgettable experience that nurtured both body and mind, and truly embodied the concept of "Longevity Through Movement" in both career and life.
The highlight of the event was a sharing session by alumna Miki Chow, a graduate of the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Sports and Recreation Management. Leveraging her professional expertise, Miki guided participants through practical warm-up exercises, demonstrated injury prevention techniques through proper movement, and shared valuable insights on incorporating sports therapy into daily health routines.
Amid the satisfying clatter of bowling pins and cheerful laughter, alumni and students not only enjoyed the fun of bowling but also deepened their understanding of sports therapy through interactive learning. Throughout the activity, Miki offered timely guidance on posture adjustments, explained common muscle engagement and protective measures specific to bowling, enabling everyone to learn while having fun and to grow through movement.
The event also featured a touching closing ceremony for this year's Mentorship Programme. The Alumni Association prepared digital boards for participants to write heartfelt wishes for the Institution and the Alumni Association, as well as their personal aspirations for the future. These warm messages became cherished keepsakes for every attendee, reflecting the strong bonds within the THEi community.
The event concluded with a group photo, filling the bowling alley with joy and laughter. The Alumni Association extends its sincere gratitude to VTC Alumni Relations for their full support and to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement. Looking ahead, the Alumni Association is committed to organising more diverse activities, strengthening alumni connections, and creating wonderful memories together.
