Organised by VTC Design Alumni Association (VTCDAA), the 2nd ‘Outstanding VTC Design Alumni Award’ Ceremony was held on 11 Oct 2021. The awards were presented to 4 alumni in recognition of their significant achievements in design industry, including Mr. Chong Chiu Fung, Chief Creative Officer of Steve Leung Design Group Limited; Mr. Chak Yun Hei, Deputy Design Director of TCL Corporate Research; Ms. So Ka Wai Karly, Creative Director of Witso Art Company Limited; and fashion photographer Mr. Lam Chun Yin Issac. The awardees encouraged students to strive for creativity, unlocking their innovative potential in a bid to bring an impact to different fields of design. One of the officiating guests Yim Chiu Tong, widely known as ‘Plumber King’, also inaugurated the Joint Exhibition ‘The Poetics of Blockages’ co-organised by HKDI and VTCDAA. The Exhibition featured art works by a number of alumni artists and students of the design discipline, which were all dedicated to the inward journey of uncovering the inner blockages caused by desires and obsessiveness.
