Cyanotype is an old photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print, demonstrating boundless artistic possibilities. VTC Design Alumni Association (VTCDAA) organised a Cyanotype workshop on 12 and 19 of June. Mr. Yeung Chin, a local fashion designer, was invited for a sharing and to teach alumni to create their own cyanotype prints.
Yeung is talented at the application of cyanotype in making fashion prints. During the workshop, in addition to sharing his experience on combining fashion design with cyanotype, he taught alumni the basic skill and knowledge of the technique, and guided them through the process to print their selected photo on fabric, creating distinctive tote bags.
16 alumni joined the workshop and had fun experimenting and making their cyanotype prints. They also made this opportunity to network with each other and enjoyed a pleasant afternoon.
