The VTC Design Alumni Association (VTCDAA) organised a “Pet Oil Pastel Painting Workshop” on 30 June, allowing alumni to explore the joy of art and the endless possibilities of creativity together. The workshop was conducted by professional art instructor, Mr Ann Chan, HKDI graduate of the Higher Diploma in Product Design and Technology, who guided the alumni to create lively and adorable pet oil pastel paintings in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
Throughout the three-hour class, alumni learnt the basic techniques and color application of oil pastel painting. They gradually applied these skills to their own artwork, carefully depicting the details, postures, and expressions of pets to bring their creations to life. Alumni also showcased unique styles and creativity, infusing every piece with personal characteristics and heartfelt emotion, conveying different stories between pets and their owners.
The workshop not only fostered communication among alumni but also inspired everyone’s passion for art and their potential for creativity. VTCDAA believes that this experience will become a cherished memory for alumni, encouraging them to continue their journey in artistic creation. The alumni association looks forward to organising more engaging and meaningful activities in the future, exploring the wonderful world of art together.
