VTC alumnus, Cr Daniel Shum, President of Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM), has arranged a group of around 30 VTC teaching staff and students of Construction Discipline, to join the Conference ‘Construction New Era‧Innovation & Professionalism’, jointly organised by HKICM and Small & Medium Enterprises Committee of Hong Kong Construction Association (SME Committee, HKCA), held on Friday, 11 October 2019 at the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriot Hotel.
About 300 distinguished guests and delegates attended this conference. The conference featured government decision makers to talk about the new trend and policies; international industry professionals to analyse case studies and application in Hong Kong; local companies and academic representatives to deliver the future opportunities of embracing the coming construction era. VTC students all gained valuable insights in how innovation in construction is shaping a more sustainable future for the industry.
Once again, a big thank you goes to our alumni, whose staunch support to their fellow younger generation has contributed much to the invaluable and comprehensive learning experience for students at the VTC.
