Organised by the Public Relations Student Society (PRSS), co-organised by the VTC Public Relations Alumni Association (VTCPRAA), the Orientation Camp for Students of HD in Public Relations and Digital Communication was held successfully from 27 to 29 September 2019 at Lady MacLehose Holiday Village, Sai Kung.
The Camp aimed to promote the fellowship between the freshmen, executive members of PRSS, and alumni. Through the interaction and cooperation among the three, their social network could be expanded and team spirit could be built. They could also understand that “Communication & Cooperation” are the essential elements for being a professional PR practitioner. The Camp also provided a chance for alumni to give back to alma mater. More than ten alumni joined the Camp, participating in various activities and sharing their work and further study experiences with their younger fellows.
The Camp for sure was a golden opportunity for alumni to act as mentors. It was also a good start for the executive members of VTCPRAA to get to know their fellows and to plan ahead for the coming activities. It was expected that a closer relationship would be further developed between the PR students and alumni, so as to strengthen the development of VTCPRAA.
